Precision and Safety in Surgery

Piezo-surgery is a minimally invasive surgical technique that uses ultrasonic vibrations to cut bone tissue while preserving surrounding soft tissues. This precision is achieved through a piezoelectric device, which converts electrical energy into mechanical oscillations at ultrasonic frequencies. The technique offers benefits such as reduced trauma, minimal bleeding, and enhanced healing. Commonly used in human dental, maxillofacial, and orthopedic surgeries, piezo-surgery allows for controlled, accurate bone cutting, which is particularly useful in delicate procedures like sinus lifts, bone grafting, and implant site preparation. Its precision and safety make it a valuable tool in modern surgical practices.

VeSculpter

VeSonic has developed a next generation piezo-surgery device with the aim to improve veterinary surgery. The VeSonic eco-system consists of a generator, a handpiece, a footswitch, an irrigation hose set, and a sterilization tray. The superior cutting blades have been designed to perfectly fit the veterinarian needs. Protection sleeves provide a safe and solid grip for a controlled cutting, thereby enhancing the surgical experience.

Key Features:

  • Ergonomic and light handpiece
  • Integrated and adjustable irrigation
  • Dedicated cutting tools with depth markings
  • RFID for automated parameter selection
  • Easy assembly and user interface
  • Lightweight generator

System Parts

VeSonic System

The VeSonic eco-system consists of a generator, a handpiece, a footswitch, various cutting tips which are recognized by the system via RFID, an irrigation hose set, and a sterilization tray.

Generator and User Interface

The user interface at the generator has been optimized to be easy to operate. It provides clear guidance to the surgeon or nurse. The RFID field is used to identify the used tool for surgery. All related parameters are then selected automatically. The generator is one of the lightest in the field while providing sufficient power to effectively cutting through animal bones.

Handpiece

The handpiece has been developed in close collaboration with international opinion leaders resulting in a light and ergonomic instrument that ensures full control over the cut during surgery. It provides an easy and fast connection to the irrigation hose.

Torque Wrench

The torque wrench is used to tightly connect the cutting tool with the handpiece. Its proprietary design is intuitive and safe to handle. As it is monolithic instrument cut from one piece of metal, it is basically maintenance free.

Sterilization Tray

The tray offers dedicated spots for all sterilizable parts, namely the handpiece, the protection sleeves, and the torque wrench.
